Speedway Betting

Not much could make speedway - a sport where riders powerslide around an oval dirt track at over 70mph on bikes with no brakes or gears - more exhilarating. But the latest speedway odds with LiveScore Bet help make an already high-octane sport even more invigorating.

We offer the best odds across multiple speedway betting markets from Grand Prix around the world.

What speedway competitions can you bet on?

The Speedway World Championship is determined over the course of a season of stand-alone Speedway Grand Prix. Each Speedway Grand Prix has its own heats, semi-finals, and finals. In total, each of the 16 riders will race against each other in the heats, with the top 8 advancing through to the semi-finals which boils down to a final between the 1st and 2nd placed semi-final riders. Points are awarded depending on position and the rider with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the overall Speedway World Champion.

The Speedway of Nations is the pinnacle speedway competition for national speedway teams. Each nation is represented by two riders with each national pairing racing against the other. The top teams then qualify for the semi-finals with the top 3 teams then progressing to the Grand Final to fight it out to be crowned Speedway of Nations Champions.

How to bet on speedway

Match the action on the track with our speedway betting markets off it. Those new to speedway betting can look at individual heats for more predictable outcomes whilst the more experienced can take their pick for outright World Championship winner.

Racewinner

Unlike other motor racing events, each Speedway Grand Prix has multiple races. In fact, it's simplest to see Speedway Grand Prix as miniature competitions within the broader Speedway World Championship. Each speedway meet features 20 heats, semi-finals and finals meaning there are plenty of opportunities for predicting race winners across a Grand Prix meet, along with the ultimate winner of the Grand Prix itself.

Over/under betting

During the heats of a Grand Prix, points are awarded via the 3-2-1-0 method. Meaning riders get 3 points for a win, 2 for second, 1 for third and none for finishing outside the top 3, failing to finish, or disqualification. The eight riders with the highest points totals then progress to the semi-finals. Predict whether the points accumulated by a rider during a meet will be over or under a certain number.

Outright and Specials

An outright bet is your chance to pick your overall winner of the Speedway World Championship or Speedway of Nations. Due to the short, fast and action-packed racing, coupled with the risk of injury, expect to see longer odds on the outright winner of championships.
